You know, I actually like the guitar tone here, it's cool! Though I would have the lead guitar louder in the mix. Keep up the good stuff!

Duuude I love the production and the way your voice sounds on this. The synths are so damn cool! Oh and the bass sound HECK YEAH!

Masterpiece.

MesterJ responds:

Thank you

Wow, man, I adore this! I think I'll be buying your EP off of Bandcamp later today. The only thing I could recommend is that maybe you shouldn't master so loud? I'm a stickler for dynamic range and I can't help but feel I'd enjoy this more if the master wasn't so compressed. That said, though, this is a wonderful track and the actual mixing is great!

PatrickCake responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it and hope you enjoy the other tracks too!

Heehee, lo-fi and spoopy. I like it.

You were right to take note of that riff, I love how spooky this sounds. Excellent job all around.

I love the vocal processing and the production overall. Very nice little song~

AveragePhoe responds:

Thank you so much!

Best heavy metal song I've ever listened to.

right?

Wow, I love the production here! Just the right amount of distortion coupled with gentle sounds mixed throughout; this is something unique. I feel like it needs lyrics and by extension vocals, but that's not a criticism at all, I just have a bit of an urge to sing or rap over top of this as I listen.

Good stuff, man, can't wait to hear more!

I like how the chord progression goes in a few places I didn't expect. I also love the song title, but for a song called Ticklish Heart, I think some of the synth choices are a little abrasive. Doesn't mean I don't like it, though! Combined with the weird chord switchups, It gives a cutesie chiptune vibe with a dark undertone.

If I may take a guess, I can assume it's because having a "ticklish heart", or, a sensitive and delicate one, so to speak, has it's good and bad aspects. On one hand, you are much more open to the love and affections of those who are kind and wish to spread such things, however, those looking to cause harm will have a much easier time manipulating and/or breaking you down for having a "ticklish heart". I know that dilemma all too well.

Or maybe I'm looking too deep into it and you just wanted to create a nice piece of music. Idk lmao. Either way, not a bad track you got here!

Have you ever considered releasing your music on Bandcamp? That way people could download it in lossless if they wanted. I love Newgrounds, but why it doesn't offer lossless uploads and downloads for audio when it offers insane image resolution will forever be a mystery to me. Hope they implement that sometime soon.

HiddenVris responds:

Haha, yes, you really got the picture about the song! However, I just like making happy music with heavy sounds, that's all :)
And about the bandcamp thing, I already tried using it but it doesn't convince me , so I stick with newgrounds

my music consists of words and noises. I try to use as many of my own samples and recordings as possible, but overall I just create what I feel
